At the same time, WEVG will be renovating the water mains. WEVG will oversee the entire construction project. The work will be carried out by Rohrleitungsbau Münster.

The renovation area extends from St. Elisabeth Hospital on Liebenhaller Straße, through Gittertor to the northern section of Tillystraße, and along Bergstraße, Pfannenschmiede, and Sackstraße to the street Hinter dem Salze.

As part of the construction project, approximately 700 meters of power lines, about 600 meters of gas supply lines, and 500 meters of water lines will be replaced. In addition, 27 gas and 29 water service connections will be modernized or reconnected.

During construction, there may be temporary interruptions to gas, water, or electricity service while the household connections are being replaced or rerouted. These interruptions typically last only a few hours. Affected households will be notified in a timely manner of the exact timing and expected duration.

The pipes will be laid using open-cut construction methods. As a result, there will be occasional restrictions on access to individual properties and streets throughout the construction site area.

Avacon and WEVG ask residents and road users for their understanding regarding these temporary restrictions and recommend using alternative routes to avoid delays.

The construction project is expected to be completed in the summer of 2027.
