Under the motto "Not in the mood for a boring vacation?", 35 girls and boys got straight down to business. The event kicked off with "Creative with your hands" - the motto here was: try it out, tackle it, do it yourself! In a variety of workshops, the children were able to discover materials, test new techniques and implement their own ideas - in the Volkshochschule and also in the learning workshop at Salder Castle.
The offer was varied and colorful: caps and key rings were embroidered, a felted pennant was created from wool, and pottery was diligently made with clay. There were also self-designed T-shirts, their own paper from the scoop tub and creative prints with printing blocks. Easter was not neglected either: many creative and delicious results were produced when making decorations and cards as well as baking, which created an extra good atmosphere.
The project series shows how playfully children can be introduced to craft and artistic topics - and how much fun it is to create something yourself. One thing is clear: learning works best when you simply try it out. And finally, of course, there was an Easter bunny hunt on the grounds of the Kniestedter Herrenhaus.
Information:
The talentCAMPus project series gives children a playful approach to handicraft and artistic techniques. At the same time, their creativity and understanding of materials are encouraged.
The successful and popular vacation program shows that learning can be fun - especially when you experience it with your own hands!
That's why it continues in the summer vacations (from July 2 to 10) with the title "Salt Safari and Creative Kitchen" and in the fall vacations (from October 12 to 16) the "Workshop of Treasures" opens its doors. Creative vacations guaranteed! The Volkshochschule is supported by its cooperation partners: the municipal library, Salder Castle and the Hamberg children's and youth club.
The "talentCAMPus" concept is a contribution by the German Volkshochschule Association to the "Kultur macht stark. Bündnisse für Bildung" program of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF)
