Christian Striese, Second Mayor of the City of Salzgitter, conveyed the congratulations of Lord Mayor Frank Klingebiel, the Salzgitter City Council and the administration, who wished the new youth parliament every success.
Marco Schmitz, Head of the Children, Youth and Family Department, Martina Malak, City Youth Officer, Simone Semmler, Equal Opportunities Officer, and Moritz Panning, Managing Director of the Youth Parliament, also joined in.
Christian Striese explained how important the youth parliament is for young people in Salzgitter. "I wish you two exciting years. How much happens for young people in Salzgitter depends on how active you are, because you know the lives of young people better than any adult." The voluntary commitment of the youth parliamentarians is supported by the administration and local politicians.
"Thank you very much for your commitment and much joy and dedication in your new honorary office," said Marco Schmitz, who wished the new youth parliament a good start. Martina Malak agreed, bidding farewell to the previous youth parliamentarians with a certificate and gift. Christian Striese swore in the new members with a handshake.

Tom Ludwig, the speaker of the "old" youth parliament, paid tribute to the commitment of all members of the youth parliament and gave a review of the many activities of the "old" youth parliament.

Andreea Jurjiu was elected as the new spokesperson. Kai Alexander Warnecke is the deputy spokesperson. What is special: Andreea Jurjiu was already active in the "old" youth parliament as deputy spokesperson. Carolin Sarah Schwebs was elected secretary.
