The Salzgitter Kultursommer will take place at the Mühlengarten and in the courtyard of Salder Castle through August.
The program at the Mühlengarten has been underway for quite some time now. On Sunday, July 26, at 3 p.m., for example, Hans Göttmann will perform a clown-style solo show for children and the young at heart. In his play “Erwachsen?!,” he shows his young audience what it’s like to be caught between growing up and staying a child.

At 6:00 p.m. that same evening, the popular quartet featuring Majimbi Mergner (vocals), Elkmar Winter (piano), Aneka Viering, and Björn Försterling (recitation) will once again be performing at the Mühlengarten. Under the title “Das Ding oder Dingsda,” they’ll present chansons and literary readings. The evening will focus on chansons and literary texts exploring the small and big things of everyday life—from clothing and furniture to unassuming objects.

The Kultursommer program at the Mühlengarten ends on August 9 at 10 a.m. with the City Breakfast for a Good Cause. Table reservations were only accepted until June 30.
Kultursommer is really taking off in the castle courtyard
But the Kultursommer is far from over yet, because the program in the castle courtyard kicks off on July 30 with Suzi Quatro, followed by Schiller on July 31; Max Giesinger performs on August 1, Kamrad on August 6, August 7: Christian Steiffen, and August 8: Apocalyptica.
