Summer Fun with Antolin: The City Library Invites You to Participate in the Antolin Contest

18 Years of the Antolin Competition: An anniversary that will be celebrated at the Salzgitter City Library from Thursday, July 2, through Sunday, August 16, under the theme “Earn Points by Reading!”

Vacation time is reading time! Welcome to the city library.

When summer vacation starts soon, that means six weeks of free time and six weeks of reading for students! The Antolin Summer Reading Club offers fun with engaging Antolin books for girls and boys in grades 1 through 4.

All elementary school-aged children can eagerly read selected current books using their free library card and answer quiz questions about the book on the Antolin online platform (see below) to earn points. Participating children will receive their own Antolin password upon registration.

In addition to reading, there will once again be exciting activities for everyone who takes part in the Antolin contest. Among other things, there will be a morning of forest adventures, a comic-drawing workshop, and a morning of games.

It’s worth joining in! All participants who earn points will receive a certificate and a medal. The top readers in each grade level will receive a prize.

After the Antolin project concludes, everyone who participated will be invited to a closing celebration.

“Antolin sparks children’s interest in reading and motivates them because the girls and boys can explore, at their own pace, how well they can read and understand what they’ve read. That’s what makes the program so popular and successful. For us at the City Library, this is yet another reason to encourage everyone to join in as we kick off the anniversary edition of this competition,” says Sylvia Fiedler, director of the City Library.

Information about the Antolin competition and registration is available at the City Library by calling 05341 / 839-3434, by emailing lesefoerderungstadt.salzgitterde, or in person at the City Library’s branches.
