Author Roland Lange will present his new crime novel, “Harzhölle.” The reading will be accompanied by Dirk Heimberg, who will enhance the story’s somber mood with atmospheric melodies on the electric guitar.
“Harzhölle” is the sixth volume in the Stefan Blume series, which is part of the city library’s collection, is popular with readers, and is frequently checked out.
Synopsis: A munitions transport vehicle bursts into flames shortly after it goes missing. The driver? Found dead in a forest cabin in the Harz Mountains. The cargo? Nowhere to be found. In an eco-village shaped by nationalist ideology, a building in the mayor’s yard burns down—suspicion falls on environmental activists. Stefan Blume, however, is investigating a different case: the son of a pharmaceutical executive is said to be responsible for the death of a Romanian farmworker. But the man has disappeared. Meanwhile, Streicher, the ranger, shows up with an injured woman and asks Blume for help.
