New Full-Time Educational Leave Programs:
“Strong in the Storm” (October 26–30 at the Volkshochschule in Lebenstedt)
About the Course: This educational leave program invites participants to understand the nervous system, regulate stress responses, and restore the flow of their own life energy. Drawing on knowledge from modern stress and trauma research, physical and mindfulness practices, and targeted mental techniques, participants will develop ways to transform feelings of being overwhelmed, strengthen their inner sense of security, and draw new strength—for a balanced, vibrant everyday life.
Danish A1.2 (November 23–27)
Course Description: This one-week intensive course is designed for participants who already have basic knowledge at the A1 level and wish to expand their Danish language skills in a targeted manner.
Educational Leave: English for “False” Beginners (October 12–16 at Volkshochschule Lebenstedt)
Course description: This educational leavecourse is designed for participants who took English classes a long time ago and whose knowledge has been completely forgotten. The course starts from “zero.” Please note: This course is not suitable for participants who have never taken English classes before. The Volkshochschule team will be happy to advise you!
Educational Leave: Norwegian A1 (November 23–27)
Course Description: This course offers an introduction to the Norwegian language in the compact format of an educational leave program. The fundamentals of pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar are taught through varied and engaging lessons.
New Part-Time Educational Leave Course:
Educational Leave: Giving Your Life a New Direction (November 30–December 4)
Course Description: This educational leavecourse promotes an understanding of taking personal responsibility for preventive health care and encourages participants to boldly and courageously explore new paths.

Good to know:
Courses can also be booked by those who do not wish to take educational leave (please indicate this when registering). In this case, registration is possible until shortly before the course begins.
Information on Educational Leave:
In Lower Saxony, employees are entitled to one week of educational leave per year, which they can use for continuing education in a wide range of subject areas. The courses offered by the Volkshochschule can also be booked as one-week intensive courses by those who do not wish to take educational leave.
