The city of Salzgitter is responsible for the burial of the deceased if there are no next of kin or if they could not be located in time.
The memorial service will take place today at 2:00 p.m. at the cemetery in Lebenstedt. The service is being organized and conducted by the two Christian churches and the Salzgitter Hospice Initiative.
