Christoph Soldan and the Silesian Chamber Soloists

Classical music with a difference: The Silesian Chamber Soloists will play classical music with a difference on Sunday, June 28, at 5 p.m. - from Vivaldi to Deep Purple with Christoph Soldan at the piano.

In the Fürstensaal of the Salder Castle Municipal Museum in Salder, the audience will experience what happens when a classical musician arranges hits from the 1960s for his own chamber ensemble: Extremely lovingly composed pieces in which listeners recognize both the catchy tunes of pop music and great classical music.

For example, one of the works begins with Tchaikovsky's String Serenade, then switches to "somebody to love" by Queen and ends by returning to Tchaikovsky.

A true cross-over project that really deserves its name. And the success proves the composer Dariusz Zboch and his ensemble right. His latest work "Vivaldiana" is a virtuoso 4-movement piano concerto based on Vivaldi's Four Seasons, which is set to jazz, swing, tango and bossa nova.

The Silesian Chamber Soloists, one of the most successful string ensembles in Europe, have worked with important artists such as Krzysztof Penderecki, Yehudi Menuhin, Christoph Eschenbach, Pinchas Zuckerman, Maxim Vengerov, Mscislav Rostropovich and the German pianist and conductor Christoph Soldan.

Leonard Bernstein commented on Christoph Soldan after a joint tour: "I am impressed by the spiritual greatness of this young musician."

Tickets are available online at the online ticket portal Eventim. Further information is available at

The concert takes place as part of the finissage of the exhibition "From You to Us" at the Salder Castle Municipal Museum.
