Salzgitter

Roads are closed in the Oelbertal valley

Due to the amphibian migration, the roads along the district roads 1, 2 and 54 in the Oelber valley between Lichtenberg (from the Burgberg parking lot) and Osterlinde (from the forester's lodge) and Oelber am weißen Wege will be closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. from April 11 to April 13.

Attention road users: The amphibians are on the move.

Current: The signposted route via Westerlinde and Wartjenstedt can be used as a detour, as well as the A39 highway in the direction of Baddeckenstedt.

The Lower Nature Conservation Authority of the City of Salzgitter asks commuters working shifts in particular, as well as everyone else, to pay attention to the signs and to understand this important measure to protect species in Salzgitter.
