Among them is Wohnbau Salzgitter, which has received the award for the eighth time and successfully renewed its certification again this year. This year, the award went to Wohnbau’s neighborhood centers Südstadtzentrum in Salzgitter-Bad and WoWieTreff in Lebenstedt. Susanne Felka accepted the certificate for the Südstadtzentrum, and Petra Stürmer accepted it for the WoWieTreff; both are employees of the company.
To make it clear to the outside world—and especially to Wohnbau’s tenants—that their landlord is a certified company for senior-friendly service, the company can now advertise using the yellow “Senior-Friendly Service” logo. The logo demonstrates that Wohnbau is committed to providing its customers—particularly the older generation—with exceptionally friendly service.

Businesses that meet the criteria or, where applicable, can offset minor shortcomings with particular strengths, receive a “Senior-Friendly Service” certificate from the Seniorenbeirat and the Senior Citizens’ Office of the City of Salzgitter. With the large round yellow sticker on their storefront window or building, the recognized businesses can promote this special service.
All companies recognized by the Seniorenbeirat and the Senior Citizens’ Office receive this sticker. Wherever it is displayed, senior citizens can receive a glass of water or a place to sit at these locations if needed. Additionally, the advice provided and accessibility at these certified locations are specifically tailored to this demographic.
