The wedding room in Salzgitter Town Hall offers couples wishing to get married a modern, bright and friendly atmosphere for their wedding ceremony (max. 20 people).

You can get married here from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 11:30 am.


Lichtenberg castle ruins

For those who prefer something a little out of the ordinary, the registrars at Lichtenberg Castle will welcome you for a wedding ceremony (max. 20 people).
Couples can tie the knot here 240 meters above sea level and then enjoy the view of the North German Plain with a glass of sparkling wine from the top platform (261 meters) of the keep.

Weddings are possible here from May to September on Thursdays and Fridays from 9.45 am to 11.15 am and every third Friday of the month from 2.00 pm to 3.30 pm.

Usage fee 75 euros (plus 55 euros expense allowance)


Salder Castle Municipal Museum

Fürstensaal in the Salder Castle Municipal Museum

Couples who want a romantic wedding ceremony can say "I do" in the baroque Fürstensaal of the Salder Castle Municipal Museum (max. 45 people).
With its magnificent stucco decorations, the room offers the perfect setting for a stylish wedding.

Weddings can be held here on Thursdays and Fridays from 10.15 am to 11.45 am and every third Friday of the month from 2.00 pm to 3.30 pm and on some Saturdays from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm.

Usage fee 250 euros (plus 37 euros expense allowance, 13 euros security service)


Pigeon tower in Ringelheim

Pigeon tower in Ringelheim

The former pigeon tower in Ringelheim (max. 30 people) is also an exceptional setting for a wedding ceremony. The wedding room is located right next to the tower in the annex where the monastery school used to be.

The special wedding room can be found on the Löwe family estate on the way to the castle park opposite the portal of the church of St. Abdon and Sennen.

Weddings can be held here on Thursdays and Fridays from 9.45 am to 11.15 am and every third Friday of the month from 2.00 pm to 3.30 pm.

Usage fee 90 euros (plus 68 euros expense allowance)


Kniestedt manor house

Biedermeier room in the Kniestedt manor house

Another alternative for a wedding in a romantic setting is the Biedermeier room in the Kniestedter Gutshaus in Salzgitter-Bad (max. 20 people).
Here, couples can say "I do" in a stylish ambience amidst numerous pieces of furniture from the Biedermeier period.

Weddings are possible here on Thursdays and Fridays from 9.45 am to 11.15 am, every third Friday of the month from 2.00 pm to 3.30 pm and on some Saturdays from 10.45 am to 12.15 pm

Usage fee 85 euros (plus 59 euros expense allowance)


Gebhardshagen moated castle

Gebhardshagen moated castle

The newest wedding room in the city of Salzgitter is located in the manor house of Gebhardshagen moated castle (max. 15 people, seating for max. 10 people). The moated castle, built around the year 1000, is one of the oldest in the state of Braunschweig and offers a further historical ambience in the many extraordinary wedding venues in Salzgitter.

Weddings can be held here on Thursdays and Fridays from 9.45 am to 11.15 am and every third Friday of the month from 2.00 pm to 3.30 pm.

Usage fee 80 euros (plus 55 euros expense allowance)


General information

The number of people stated refers to the maximum number of people permitted at the wedding ceremony and includes both the bridal couple and the registrar.

Please also note that additional charges apply for weddings outside the town hall and outside opening hours.

Only one wedding room outside the town hall can be used on any one day.
