The dispatch of tender documents to companies and the publication of tenders has already been taking place electronically for some time in the area of supply and services and Europe-wide procedures.

From 01.01.2023, the majority of national tenders in the construction sector will now also be processed electronically.

What does this mean for you as a company?

• The homepage of the City of Salzgitter will continue to refer to public invitations to tender and intended restricted invitations to tender in the construction sector.
• From 01.01.2023, you will find the City of Salzgitter's invitations to tender on the following procurement marketplace:

https://vergabe.niedersachsen.de/Satellite/company/welcome.do.

• You can view the tender documents and bidder information for public invitations to tender issued by the City of Salzgitter free of charge and without registration on the aforementioned procurement marketplace.
• To view the tender documents for procedures with a restricted group of bidders, you must be registered on the vergabe.niedersachsen public procurement marketplace. Registration is free of charge.
• Irrespective of the type of procedure, you must be registered on the vergabe.niedersachsen public procurement marketplace in order to submit a bidder's question and to submit a bid. Registration is free of charge.
• Bids will be opened electronically. No bidders are admitted as spectators at an electronic bid opening. For tenders in the construction sector, the City of Salzgitter must inform the bidders of the following information immediately after the bid opening in accordance with Section 14 (6) of the Public Procurement and Contract Regulations Part A (VOB/A):

- name and address of the bidders

- the final amounts of the tenders or individual lots

- Price reductions without conditions

- the number of the respective secondary tenders

The notification is made electronically via the procurement marketplace.

Important:

If electronic submission of tenders is mandatory, tenders must be submitted via the bidder tool. Tenders received by e-mail or via the communication section are not considered to be in the correct form and will be excluded.
