Since 01.01.2014, there has been a new senior citizens' advice structure in Lower Saxony.
The new advice centers not only replace the previous form of senior citizens' service offices, but also introduce the area of responsibility of the care support points (PSP) into the advice centers. This eliminates the coexistence of the aforementioned advice centers and creates a joint advice center. This reduces duplicate structures and leads to optimized advice from a single source.
The Lower Saxony Senior Citizens' and Care Support Centers offer citizens and their relatives advice on all topics relevant to senior citizens and care issues.
Care advice in the narrower sense in accordance with Sections 7 and 7a of the German Social Code - Eleventh Book (SGB XI) provided by the care insurance funds remains unchanged.
The Lower Saxony senior citizens and care support centers are also building up a local network of voluntary, community and professional providers. They also act as a source of inspiration for the development of innovative services for the target groups. The potential of older people continues to be strengthened and utilized, their independence and quality of life preserved and promoted.
