You are seeking a temporary stay in Germany, for example, to temporarily care for a seriously ill family member, to undergo urgently needed medical treatment, or to complete vocational training. You are currently in Germany and are not required to leave the country.
In that case, the Foreigners’ Registration Office may grant you a residence permit as long as urgent humanitarian or personal reasons, or significant public interests, require your continued temporary presence in Germany.
The residence permit does not entitle you to engage in gainful employment. Such employment may be permitted by the Foreigners’ Registration Office upon application.
A residence requirement may be imposed on you.
You are entitled to benefits under the Asylum Seekers Benefits Act.
Family reunification is not permitted.
You are not entitled to participate in an integration course. You may only be admitted to participate if there are available spots in the course.
