To update your address on the chip of your eID card, you must go to the local civil registry office responsible for your primary residence.

If you do not have a primary residence, you can go to the appropriate civic office in the location where you currently live to update your address.

Your address will only be updated on the chip of your eID card, because no address is printed on the card itself.

You must have your new address changed immediately on the chip of your eID card.

There is no statutory processing time.
