Alternative practitioner - license

Description

Description

Anyone wishing to practise medicine professionally without being licensed as a doctor requires a license to do so. The practice of medicine is any professional or commercial activity to diagnose, cure or alleviate illness, suffering or physical injury in humans, even if it is carried out in the service of others. In addition, the activity must require specialist medical knowledge and must not cause any damage to health. To practise medicine, you must apply for and obtain a license from the competent authority.

You must meet minimum statutory requirements and undergo a knowledge check before the expert committee set up at the State Office for Social Affairs, Youth and Family.
