If you want to hunt in Germany, you need a hunting license.

If you want to hunt regularly, you must apply for an annual hunting license. The competent authority issues a hunting license for one, two or three years. However, the annual hunting license is valid for a maximum of three consecutive hunting years.

If you do not wish to hunt regularly, you can apply for a day hunting license, which is valid for 14 consecutive days.

Young people aged 16 and over also have the option of applying for a youth hunting license.

The authority responsible for your place of residence issues the annual hunting license.
