Would you like to work as a professional guardian? If so, you must apply for registration with the competent authority. This is necessary in order to be appointed as a professional guardian by the guardianship court and to be eligible for compensation. The registration is valid nationwide.

As a professional guardian, you support adults who, due to an illness or disability, can no longer manage their own (legal, financial, and/or health-related) affairs on their own. Reasons for the need for legal guardianship may include, for example, mental illness and substance use disorders, or intellectual, physical, and age-related limitations.

As a professional guardian, you act in a supportive or representative capacity within the scope of the duties established by the court, taking into account the wishes of the person concerned.
