A maximum speed of 100 km/h may be authorized on highways and expressways

• - for passenger cars with a trailer (vehicle combination),
• - for other multi-lane motor vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating of up to 3.5 metric tons with a trailer (combination), and
• - for bus-trailer combinations, provided that the bus, with a gross vehicle weight of up to 3.5 metric tons acting as the towing vehicle, is authorized to travel at 100 km/h pursuant to Section 18(5)(3) of the Road Traffic Regulations(StVO).
