The care conference is currently made up of representatives from

• of the city of Salzgitter,
• the care insurance funds
• the care providers
• the hospitals
• the nursing school,
• the residents of inpatient facilities,
• the nursing staff,
• self-help groups,
• the medical service of the health insurance funds,
• the Committee for Social Affairs and Integration,
• the Seniorenbeirat,
• the advisory board for people with disabilities,
• the social associations

The Care Conference is a committee designed to reach a consensus and meets at least once a year in public.

Working groups have been formed from the care conference on the following topics:

• Discharge management
• Junior staff in nursing care
• Deprivation of liberty measures in nursing care

The conference is managed by the Social Services and Senior Citizens Department of the City of Salzgitter.
