When does admission begin for the individual events?

• Doors open for the events in the castle courtyard at 6:30 p.m.
• Doors open for the events in the Mühlengarten at 7:00 p.m.

Yes. The box office (at the “Hinter dem Knick” entrance) opens when doors open for each event.

Admission to the event grounds is via the street “Hinter dem Knick,” across from the castle pond.

Note: The street “Hinter dem Knick” is designated as a one-way street from the intersection with Parkstraße to the intersection with Gerichtsweg.

Will the events take place even if it rains?

The events will take place regardless of the weather, unless there is an official warning.

Where can I park?

Many guests are expected to attend the concerts of the Kultursommer in the courtyard of Salder Castle in Salzgitter-Salder.

Most concertgoers will be arriving in their own vehicles.

To make finding a parking spot as easy as possible for attendees given the expected high volume of traffic and to ensure traffic around the castle flows smoothly without major disruptions, security personnel will direct arriving vehicles one by one to the respective parking areas.

To minimize traffic congestion, the streets Hinter dem Knick (starting at the intersection with Gerichtsweg) and Teichkamp will also be designated as one-way streets.

The event organizer, the City of Salzgitter, advises concertgoers—especially those familiar with the area—to use parking lots further away from the castle whenever possible, or to travel by bicycle or public transportation. The stop for KVG Braunschweig bus line 612 is located directly in front of the museum.

Parking is again available on the lawn behind the castle grounds along the Fuhse River, as well as on the grounds of the Braunschweig-Salzgitter District Branch of the German Red Cross (DRK) and in the Möhlenhoff company parking lot. The organizer asks visitors to keep emergency routes—including those on side streets—as well as entrances and exits clear so that residents and employees parked there can leave the premises without difficulty.

Travel by bus (or bicycle) if possible

If possible, visitors from Salzgitter should travel by public transportation. Salder is accessible via bus lines 612 and 613 (Lebenstedt-Gebhardshagen-Salzgitter-Bad). Information on exact schedules is available on the KVG website at www.kvg-braunschweig.de (opens in a new tab).

For those coming from the immediate vicinity, traveling by bike is a good option.
