To get one thing out of the way: “Die Schröders” no longer exist. Well, sort of. Because these old friends are coming in July 2027 for a big concert at the Kultursommer Salzgitter. At the Salder Castle Courtyard, they’ll be playing German punk rock, their old hits, and reuniting with fans in their home region. Full throttle!
In December 2009, they officially retired from the German music scene. But they’re friends—very good friends, in fact—scattered to the four winds, and every now and then, when the longing gets too strong, they get together, find a suitable spot, and make music together—German punk rock.
Yes—they still think each other is awesome and have a great time together. No—they haven’t lost their touch. Quite the opposite.
Who are the "Schröders"?
"Die Schröders" (founded in 1989) are a punk rock institution that has been certified gold and platinum. Their hits, such as “Lass und schmutzig Liebe machen,” “Saufen,” “Frösche Weinen Nie,” and “Frau Schmidt,” are evergreens that remain hugely popular to this day. For two decades, the band was one of the country’s most prolific live acts and played over 1,000 concerts until its breakup in 2009.
