The Britta Rex Quartet can be experienced in the Kniestedt church.

In the live program, the band presents poetry settings in German and philosophical texts in English packed into beautiful jazz songs with a lot of groove and dynamics as well as songs by Tom Waits, Bob Marley or Joni Mitchell in new unconventional arrangements.

The freedom and complexity of modern jazz have taken a liking to the singer. Together with her band, she playfully mixes elements and colors of different styles. She loves to use her voice as an instrument that fits into the band collective on an equal footing.

As a singer she convinces with her expressive clear voice and a wide range from touching simplicity to effervescent virtuosity - always in the service of the songs.

The quartet with Edward Filipp on drums, Christoph Münch on piano and André Neygenfind on double bass, which has been working together in this line-up since 2010, impresses with its communicative musicality and gripping grooves.
