Berlin radio star Jochen Trus takes guests on a journey. He presents a total of eleven authentic travel experiences on stage. Real, true stories that he has experienced in various states in the USA over a period of more than three decades.

He tells of lonely, impressive landscapes and noisy, hectic cities. Of wondrous encounters with special people. In hotel suites in Las Vegas, on observatories in Hawaii, between skyscrapers in New York or in cheap motels on the edge of endless desert roads in Nevada. He tells of the winners and losers of the American dream.

Jochen Trus is accompanied by the outstanding musicians of the 17-piece Fine Arts Big Band. The two bandleaders Ferdinand von Seebach and Stephan Genze have written wonderful big band pieces for all the experiences and thus bring the emotions to the stage in an inspiring and touching musical form.

The Berlin "Fine Arts Big Band" was founded by Stephan Genze (drums, composition) and Ferdinand von Seebach (trombone, composition, arrangements) with the aim of playing exclusively original compositions by the two protagonists in a dream line-up of the best Berlin jazz musicians. Von Seebach and Genze combine decades of experience as musicians, authors, composers, arrangers, bandleaders and big band musicians.

The inspiring energy that had already unfolded during joint musical projects in the past and during the first rehearsals of the new Fine-Arts Big Band immediately spurred on the realization of the project and was the driving force behind the first CD recording "Chaos, Laughter & Love" in September 2014.

In 2017, the program "My American Dream - Tru(e)s Stories & Big Band Music" was created in collaboration with Jochen Trus, the morning voice of Berlin's Spree Radio station. After several sold-out concerts at the Renaissance Theater Berlin, the CD of the same name was released in 2020.

2022 saw the release of the album Minos, the Greek Minotaur legend as a ballet music suite for jazz orchestra

The new album Big Brecht will be released at the end of 2026
