Ladies Ahoy! - Concert

WULEWU—The Cheese, Wine, and Baguette Concert. Up for a quick getaway? Then hop in a taxi with the “Ladies AHOI!” and head to Paris (Felix de Luxe) to join the unrepentant Edith Piaf (Non rien de rien), to a Sunday in Avignon (Mireille Mathieu), and straight to the lovely Nathalie (Gilbert Becaud).

Francophiles, an exuberant zest for life, like a spicy ratatouille: Adamo, La Boum, Alexandra, Dalida, Daliah Lavi, Zaz, “Voulez-Vous” (ABBA), and many more accompany the audience on this “Bon Voyage” with an unmistakable German accent—a breathtaking mix of French and German.

From currywurst to cheeky, pop-style crêpes: delicious, thoroughly entertaining, and a reunion with old and new hits from the land of cheese, wine, baguettes, and the Eiffel Tower. Well then—Bienvenue!

The Ladies Ahoi

Both are integral parts of Hamburg’s cultural scene (Kammerspiele, Schmidt’s, Ohnsorg, the show *Begleitung von Alfons* (NDR), Jens Wawrzeck (Die Drei ???), Meiningen State Theater, etc.) and are trained in accordion, singing, and acting.

Hamburg-based actress and singer Birgit Lünsmann teams up with Russian accordionist Natalie Böttcher—both over 50, both consummate professionals, and for the past 10 years, performing as Ladies AHOI! with their hearts on the stage. They tell stories, sing, and perform about life between the harbor and the Champs-Élysées, between Piaf and Low German, between depth and silliness.
