Admission to the museum festival is free!
On both days, the museum festival invites visitors to enjoy the historic surroundings of the castle and the festive atmosphere and to take a look back into the past. Exciting activities and the stage program offer fun for the whole family.
A wide variety of food and drink stalls as well as children's activities and sales stands can be found in the castle courtyard. Clubs from Salder will also be there again. Every purchase at a stand of the VfL Salder sports club, the citizens' initiative ProSal e.V. or the Salder volunteer fire department supports their work. And strolling through the diverse arts and crafts market in the "Schafstall" is definitely worthwhile.
Historical hustle and bustle around the castle
At the museum festival, historical reenactment groups will be on display in the castle gardens, inviting visitors on an exciting journey through history. With great attention to detail, the groups will present their authentic costumes, equipment, and encampments.
In the camps, participants cook, tell stories, work, and live together—just as they would have in their respective eras. Visitors are warmly invited to tour the camps, ask questions, and chat with the reenactors. A special highlight of the program is the combat demonstrations.
