Since the Konradfonds was established, projects by associations and other nonprofit organizations in the city of Salzgitter and the municipalities of Lengede and Vechelde have received a total of approximately 18.7 million euros in funding.

Applications for funding can be submitted every year. Since the volume of project applications has significantly exceeded the annual funding budget available for several years now, a selection process must be carried out. The Board of Trustees of the foundation decides on the total amount of funding to be approved. Mandatory responsibilities of the City of Salzgitter are not eligible for funding.

The application deadline is March 31 of each year. The online grant application via the service portal will be available again starting in October 2026.

Important:

• The application should also be accompanied by the association’s bylaws, the current tax exemption notice from the tax office, and the corresponding report from the general meeting.
• It may take several months after submission for the Board of Trustees to reach a decision; any potential cost increases for the companies should be taken into account.
• Please also note that the Konradfonds covers a maximum of 80 percent of the total project costs.
