Salzgitter

Jessy Martens in the Kniki

On Friday, October 25, 8 p.m., Jessy Martens will perform as part of the "Blues in the Church" series in the Kniestedter Kirche in Salzgitter-Bad.

The 30-year-old released her third studio album in fall 2017, which was showered with awards and celebrated by the press. "Tricky Thing" was produced by Stephan Gade (Ina Müller, Udo Lindenberg). Jessy Martens & Band toured Germany extensively with this program after its release.

Now the second round follows with "Tricky Thing - Part 2". With new songs in her luggage, which no longer found a place on the recording, the Hamburg native will be on the road from September to November 2019. It's worth being there. Because being right on stage is exactly her thing. Jessy is what people like to call a "ramp sow". A highlight made in Germany, which you could recently see for yourself live and on TV at WDR Rockpalast.

Jessy Martens is the blues and rock lady of the hour. With her unmistakable voice, she has played her way to the top of the rock scene in a very short time. The singer's repertoire has long included not only blues songs, but also rock compositions from her own pen.

Six albums with top German and international musicians followed, the seventh is in the works. After a short baby break, Jessy is celebrating her comeback at the Schanzenzelt Festival on May 24! "I belong on stage!" says the strong woman with the big voice. "We'll just take the child with us." This is music of international stature, and not just since she was crowned with the Louis Armstrong Memorial Prize.
