The aim is to teach teaching staff how to program and integrate digital media into lessons. This enables teachers to independently develop and implement digital projects and teaching plans.

For example, further training is offered on the topic of programming with "LEGO WeDo". "LEGO WeDo" offers children of primary school age an easy way to take their first steps in this area.

The special attraction lies in the combination of Lego models, which first have to be built, and the subsequent programming on the computer.

Both the construction of the models and the subsequent programming require the children to grasp connections and solve problems with creativity. The concept also enables children with no previous experience to discover the world of digitalization.

As part of the new concept of the Stadtbildstelle in the Medienzentrum, special teaching material has now also been added to the rental service for schools in Salzgitter. The Stadtbildstelle in the Medienzentrum has purchased an entire class set of "LEGO Education WeDo 2.0" for 24 students for rental to schools.
