The deputy commander of the battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Tony Kynast, informs us that during the exercise, the soldiers may enter the private property of local residents as well as company premises. According to the lieutenant colonel, the soldiers are instructed to register with the owners and introduce themselves before entering.
According to Kynast, the exercise is a reconnaissance of civilian logistics facilities in industrial estates or storage areas on farms. According to the lieutenant colonel, this reconnaissance only serves to train and exercise his command personnel and does not entail any relocation of personnel or material to the urban area.
