Apparently, a private company based in Berlin is advertising its collection services nationwide using the name of the respective public waste disposal authority, which is leading to queries and complaints from citizens to the public authorities.

A case has now been reported to the Salzgitter SRB in which this company collected the bulky waste registered by a private individual after 8 p.m. and demanded a large sum of money in cash.

The bulky waste appointments that are arranged with SRB Salzgitter take place during normal working hours on weekdays, usually between 7.00 am and 3.30 pm, never in the evening after 8.00 pm. The fees will be charged in writing afterwards by means of a fee notice; under no circumstances will payment be made in cash on site.

The SRB Salzgitter therefore recommends checking the website visited carefully when booking bulky waste appointments online.
