Salzgitter

New media education advisor at the Medienzentrum

The Medienzentrum of the city of Salzgitter welcomes a new member to the team.

Martina Weber is a teacher at a vocational school and recently became a media education consultant for the "Niedersächsisches Landesinstitut für schulische Qualitätsentwicklung" (NLQ) for the city of Salzgitter.

Weber was born in Salzgitter, studied business education after completing a commercial apprenticeship and has been teaching at a BBS since 2000.
Her work focuses on supporting and creating media education concepts for the Digital Pact and mobile learning with digital media and the important topic of data protection in schools.
She assists schools and daycare centers in the city with questions regarding the further development of media equipment and the implementation of quality standards for teaching media skills.

From 2022, it will also offer media education training for employees of educational institutions.

Jeannette Rische from the Medienzentrum is delighted to welcome her expert colleague: "Martina Weber is a great asset to the Medienzentrum. We will use her to implement projects for and with schools across the board in the future. The media consultants from the NLQ form a large network in Lower Saxony, which we can access with her and from which Salzgitter can benefit."

Martina Weber works at the Medienzentrum in the old village in Lebenstedt. She offers consultation hours on Wednesdays. Due to the ongoing pandemic situation, this is currently only possible by appointment.
