Since 1 October, the cycle path fords at the Berliner Straße/Neißestraße junction have been modernized to create greater safety for cyclists at the junction. A mobile traffic light system is currently regulating traffic.
The work is progressing well so that the second construction phase can begin at the start of the fall vacations.
What is planned from October 18 to 29?
- The Neißestraße/Berliner Straße junction will be closed and it will not be possible to drive over it on Neißestraße.
- Neißestraße will remain passable up to the construction site; the Netto supermarket can be reached from the east.
- Pedestrians and cyclists will still be able to cross the intersection.
- Important: Berliner Straße can still be accessed via one lane. Obstructions are nevertheless to be expected.
- The side streets of Neißestraße, such as Schlehenweg and Lichtenberger Straße, are still passable.
- Obstructions are still to be expected. The administration asks for your understanding.
