Salzgitter

On Youtube: Salzgitter-Immendorf from above

Another film in the "Salzgitter from above" series has been published on the City of Salzgitter's YouTube channel. This time you can see Immendorf.

The first written mention of the place name is from a Hildesheim document dated April 18, 1175, in which a Reimbreit de Immenthorp signed as a witness. The base word of the place name refers to the Old Saxon first name Immo, so that the name can be interpreted as "settlement of Immo". The name Immendorf first appears in a church visitation report in 1542 and has been used ever since.

2,960 users have now subscribed to the YouTube channel so that they can be informed about new films immediately. However, the contributions can also be viewed without subscribing. The number of individual film views ranges from the hundreds to the thousands and tens of thousands to the hundreds of thousands. A total of well over 1.9 million film views have already been recorded.
