As part of the preparation of the corresponding "Paracelsusstraße" development plan, building areas are being considered under planning law. A local supermarket, a daycare center, a doctor's practice and a playground are also planned.

The adjustment of the integrated action plan for the "Soziale Stadt Steterburg" redevelopment measure was also approved by the committee. The 2022 to 2024 update is intended to ensure the ability to act by setting out important measures that can take effect in the event of unforeseen developments at short notice.

As part of the structural aid program and the integration fund of the state of Lower Saxony, various new buildings can now be implemented following approval by the city parliament. These include an elementary school and daycare center in Salzgitter-Bad, a daycare center in Salzgitter-Thiede and an elementary school and daycare center in Salzgitter-Lichtenberg.

The council also approved the 3rd supplementary budget bylaws for 2022, which had become necessary due to massive additional costs for the construction of schools and daycare centers. The council members were also informed about the closed season regulation for roe deer and statistical data on this.
