The event will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. and is aimed at teachers who want to explore the challenges and opportunities of the digital media world.
At a time when social networks such as Facebook, X (Twitter), TikTok and Instagram play a significant role in shaping public opinion, it is becoming increasingly important to understand the mechanisms behind the dissemination of information. The US elections are a current example of how strongly digital media can influence public opinion. In addition to human actors, so-called social bots - automated programs that pretend to be human - are also helping to shape opinion. Artificial intelligence and deep fakes have the ability to further manipulate our perception.
Speaker Jessica Schattschneider will give a comprehensive overview of these topics and provide teachers with valuable teaching materials. She will demonstrate how to respond effectively to these challenges in the classroom.
