Another intensive cleaning and disinfection of the pipes was commissioned.

Dietrich Leptien, the operations manager of the city's public utility company (SRB), explains: "The two climate-friendly forums have been closed in recent weeks for maintenance of the fogging systems and drinking water fountains by a specialist company. Finally, the water quality of the systems was tested by a laboratory. This revealed that the water quality does not comply with the Drinking Water Ordinance and that further cleaning of the pipes is necessary. However, the specialist company will not be able to start work on site until mid-July. The water will then be tested again. In order to rule out any health risks to our citizens, the facilities will therefore remain out of operation until further notice. The fencing around both forums will be removed today and the seating can then be used again."

Information will be provided as soon as the facilities are put back into operation. The municipal management company asks all citizens for their understanding.
