Special permit for the use of floodplains: Granting

Description

Description

In areas designated as floodplains, a special permit is required for the following activities:

  • the construction or expansion of structures,
  • the construction of walls, embankments, or similar structures across the direction of water flow during floods,
  • the application and deposition of substances hazardous to water on the ground, unless such substances are permitted for use in the course of proper agricultural and forestry practices,
  • the long-term placement of objects that may obstruct water flow or that may be washed away,
  • raising or lowering the ground surface,
  • the planting of trees and shrubs, to the extent that such planting conflicts with the objectives of preventive flood protection,
  • the conversion of grassland into arable land, and
  • the conversion of riparian forest to another type of land use.
