Anyone who instructs individuals seeking to obtain a driver's license (driving students) must hold a driving instructor's license . The driving instructor's license is issued upon application for Class BE and, additionally, for Classes A, CE, and DE.

Applicants for a Class BE driving instructor license are initially granted provisional instructor authorization for the purpose of further training. This authorization is valid for two years.

The driver-instructor license may only be used in conjunction with a driving school license or within the framework of an employment relationship with the owner of a driving school. The provisional instructor authorization may only be used within the framework of an apprenticeship with the owner of a driving school.
