As an employer or user, you are required to notify the Office of Occupational Safety and Health in writing or electronically no later than six weeks before the start of use,

a) if biocidal products are used at the workplace,
1. that are classified:
a) as acutely toxic, Category 1, 2, or 3,
b) as carcinogenic, germ cell mutagenic, or toxic to reproduction, Category 1A or 1B, or
c) as having specific target organ toxicity, Category 1 SE or RE
2. for which, in addition to the cases covered under item 1, the use category “trained professional users” has been specified as part of the authorization.

(b) when the use of biocidal products is for the first time, or when the use of biocidal products is resumed after an interruption of more than one year.
