Restaurant operation Authorization for early start of operation

Would you like to start operating a restaurant but are unable to meet the required 4-week advance notice period? The competent authority may allow you to begin operations earlier if it is unreasonable to expect you to comply with this requirement.

Description

Description

  • If you wish to operate a permanent restaurant business, you must notify the appropriate authority at least 4 weeks before you begin serving beverages or prepared food.
  • This also applies if the restaurant business is to be operated only for a short period of time.
  • The same procedure applies to operating a branch, a dependent branch office, relocating the business premises, and expanding the offerings to include alcoholic beverages or prepared food.
  • Notwithstanding the above, the competent authority may permit an earlier start to the restaurant business if compliance with the 4-week notice period is not reasonably expected of you as the operator.
