If you wish to become self-employed in the itinerant trade, you generally need an itinerant trade license.
You are considered to be operating a traveling business if you offer your services or goods without a prior order outside your commercial establishment, or if you engage in entertainment activities as a traveling show performer or in a manner typical of such performers.
For example,
- as a fairground performer,
- as a “traveling merchant,” or
- as the owner of a market stall.
The traveling trade license is generally valid indefinitely. However, it may be issued for a limited period if this is necessary to protect the general public or consumers.
If you hold a temporary itinerant trade license and wish to renew it, you must apply to the appropriate authority.
