Your state may provide financial assistance to help you build or renovate a single-family home or a condominium. The residence must be intended for use by you and your household members.
You do not have a legal right to receive funding for your project.
The following are eligible for funding:
- new construction,
- purchases,
- the renovation
- energy-efficient retrofitting of owner-occupied residential property
for
- households with at least one child who has not yet reached the age of 15,
or
- households that include at least one person with a disability (persons with a disability rating of at least 50 percent, as well as persons in need of assistance and care with a care level of 2 or higher).
To be eligible for funding, your income and the income of your household members must not exceed the income limits set forth in state law.
Funding is provided in accordance with state law through the granting of non-repayable grants and/or low-interest loans.
