Kniestedt church

The former Kniestedt church in Salzgitter-Bad is now a recognized cultural center and performance venue for jazz concerts, folklore evenings, theater series, poetry readings and cabaret.

Kniestedt church

The tower and nave of Kniestedt church were built at the end of the 15th century, rebuilt at the beginning of the 17th century and given their present form around the middle of the 18th century after the windows were enlarged. The nave is rectangular in shape, consists of quarrystone walls and has a gabled roof. The round-arched portal on the north side was built in 1609 and is decorated with shells, diamond ashlars and a lion's head. Organizer

The tower has a transverse gabled roof. There are small sound openings at the height of the belfry. On the west side is the tower entrance with a patterned wooden door from the 18th century.
