This was prepared on the basis of a survey of privately financed rented apartments. It is based on data collected in the period from November 2022 to February 2023. A written survey was conducted with landlords and tenants. The compilation, in which a project-accompanying working group was involved, was carried out as a table rent index. The rent index has already been published on salzgitter.de (opens in a new tab).

The committee was also informed about various measures at Salzgittersee. The paths around the lake will be renovated in several stages up to and including 2025. The focus is on the inner ring. The expansion of the sports and fitness facilities was also discussed. However, the administration is awaiting the outcome of the target and structural concept for the further development of Salzgittersee, which is expected to be available in 2024.

The Sepia diving association was also granted permission under water law to sink a shipwreck in Salzgittersee for diving purposes this year.

The city parliament approved the urban development framework plans for the old town of Salzgitter-Bad and the city center of Salzgitter-Lebenstedt. The previous plans were now outdated and had to be adapted to the current challenges and changed requirements.
