Since Wednesday, October 4, the Autoservice department with the vehicle registration office, driver's license matters and road haulage as well as the municipal regulatory service with the fines office, the lower road traffic authority, traffic monitoring and the fight against illegal employment have been open to the public during regular opening hours in Hans-Birnbaum-Straße. The Autoservice department (vehicle registration office, driving license matters, road haulage) will be located on the first floor of the building. The license plate dealers will also move there.

On the second floor, the Municipal Regulatory Services department (fines office, lower road traffic authority, traffic monitoring, combating illegal employment and municipal regulatory services) has taken up its duties.

Head of department Achim Zöfelt explains: "Appointments made from October 4 will remain valid and will then take place at the new address. I would ask citizens who visit us in the new building in the first few days for their understanding for possible delays caused by the move and the resulting changeover for Autoservice and public order service staff. This is no different for us than in the private sector: no move and no modernization without temporary disruptions, but in the end this should lead to an improvement in customer service and working conditions for my employees!"
