As part of a basic record of residence inquiry, you will receive the following from the relevant agency

• Last name,
• first names,
• doctoral degree, and
• current addresses

for the person you are searching for. If the person has passed away, you will be notified of this.

Whether the competent authority provides you with information about the person you are seeking is at its discretion, in accordance with its duties. Basic information from the registration records will not be provided if a restriction on disclosure has been entered in the registration records or if the competent authority has reason to believe that this could pose a risk to the legitimate interests of the person in question or another individual.
