The aim of the NWindPVBetG is to maintain and increase public acceptance of wind turbines and ground-mounted systems.

At its meeting on October 29, 2025, the Salzgitter City Council unanimously adopted the guideline on the distribution of the acceptance levy in accordance with Section 4 NWindPVBetG and the grants in accordance with Section 6 EEG. Prior to this, it was discussed in all local councils as well as in the Environmental and Climate Protection Committee and the Administrative Committee (see draft resolution 3928/18).
