"The piano is great! The instrument that can do everything is waiting for my pupils, flashing its black and white teeth. But don't worry! At the beginning, I like to patiently help them sort their fingers, teach them how to practice efficiently and enjoyably at home, later we discover their individual favorite style in classical literature or song playing - the important thing is to learn a solid technique and good note reading as a basis, we hone a beautiful sound, play with and without notes in classical, jazz and pop music and all this is enriched with a large portion of knowledge in music theory, without which we pianists would otherwise not be able to see through."

Marlene Blumberg, born in 1982, studied piano with a focus on instrumental pedagogy at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media. Initially classically trained, she increasingly devoted herself to her love of jazz and performed numerous gigs as a pianist and on the Hammond organ.

Since beginning her studies, she has taught children, young people and adults piano, music theory and aural training and coached groups ranging from chamber music ensembles to jazz combo.

"I enjoy teaching the recorder, which is unfortunately often underestimated as a beginner's instrument.

With my music college training as a state-certified instrumental teacher and the additional postgraduate studies leading to the artistic maturity examination, I would like to convey musical diversity on this instrument to all recorder lovers.

Furthermore, it is a matter close to my heart to work with adults in the 3rd/4th generation. With curiosity and joy, music makes it possible to learn and discover skills at any age.

As part of a university-certified degree, I was able to further my training for this field of work and I also work as a music geragogue with the table harp at the Salzgitter music school."

Music is something wonderful for me and fills my life.

In my lessons, I want to awaken and fundamentally promote the joy of music, making music and playing the flute. At the same time, I don't want to miss out on the fun.

In individually adapted learning steps, with motivating and contemporary exercises, I prepare the foundation for confident instrumental playing and lead all learners with great dedication to a high level of musical independence.

Together we discover music/works of any desired musical style and at the same time prepare the basis for using what we have learned as a soloist, in an ensemble, in an orchestra, with friends or in family music-making.

Because this is how music accompanies us throughout our lives.

My musical career:

1990-91 Flutist at the Lausitzer Konzertorchester Senftenberg

1990-98 Teacher at various music schools (Hoyerswerda, Helmstedt, Wunstorf)

1996 Diploma at the Hanover University of Music and Drama

since 1994 solo flutist in the Philharmonic Volkswagen Orchestra

since 2010 teacher at the Braunschweig Municipal Music School

since 2022 Teacher at the Salzgitter Music School

As a passionate brass player, qualified pedagogue and long-standing specialist teacher, I would like to

  • inspire people of all ages who are interested in music to play a brass instrument
  • train "brass enthusiasts" on an instrument that is suitable for them
  • awaken and further promote a lasting love of music and music-making
  • discover and develop pieces of music of desired genres together and also bring them to a convincing presentation/performance
  • to shape the path from the first "tut" to the radiant golden sound together with my pupils
  • to achieve the possible instrumental skills and good motivation in pupils so that playing as a soloist, with friends/like-minded people, in ensembles and/or orchestras becomes possible

All of this is a special challenge for me, a wonderful task and in the end also a great fulfillment. And what would music be without the sound of the low brass...?

My professional career:

1990 - 2000 Music studies at the Leipzig University of Music and Theater

1998 Diploma orchestra musician

2000 Diploma in music education

Since 1996 music teacher at various music schools in Germany (Leipzig, Rathenow, Helmstedt, Nienburg/ W., Peine, Hildesheim)

(symphonic wind orchestra, music club, fire department band, youth symphony orchestra and symphony orchestra)

My name is Anna Godesberg and I have been teaching the violin and viola at the Salzgitter Municipal Music School since 2017.

My musical education began at the Goslar district music school at the age of four on the recorder before I switched to the violin at the age of seven.
I won several prizes at the Jugend musiziert competition and the German Orchestra Competition. From 2013-2017, I studied instrumental pedagogy at the HfMT Cologne, majoring in violin. During my studies, a lot of emphasis was placed on varied and child-oriented learning in ensembles and individual lessons. I also follow this path in Salzgitter. In my lessons, I focus on good playing technique, reading music, motivation to practise at home and an exciting selection of pieces in which the pupils can also actively participate if they wish. If they are interested, I prepare my students for the "Jugend Musiziert" competition. Making music together with peers is particularly important to me. That's why string students at the music school have the opportunity to take part in the "Streichholzorchester" after just a few months of lessons. For advanced students, the "chamber orchestra" is an exciting challenge and a great addition to individual lessons.
Are you curious? Then sign up for a trial lesson!

For me, every child is unique and it is always exciting to discover and develop individual abilities. Everyone learns differently and it is important to me to support everyone according to their abilities. The joy of music and the instrument remains the most important thing.

The accordion is a very versatile instrument due to its different timbres, so that every musical style can be played on it. This makes it possible to cater to the most diverse musical interests of the students.

My musical path:

After graduating from high school, I completed my studies to become a state-certified instrumental teacher in Trossingen. My main subject is accordion, but conducting, piano and elementary music education were also part of my training. I myself have been an enthusiastic orchestral player since my youth.

In 1991, I became a teacher for accordion, accordion orchestra and ensembles at the music school in the Wolfenbüttel education center and have now been available to the Salzgitter music school as a teacher with all my experience since 2023.

Musical education:

Bachelor/ Master for artistic-pedagogical education at the University of Music, Drama and Media, Hanover

Major in violoncello with Professor Christiane Aydintan

During my studies, I discovered my passion for chamber music and music theory. In addition to the technical learning of the cello, I often set myself the teaching goal of giving the students a rough theoretical understanding of the music. I hope that this will awaken a broader interest in the music itself.

In addition to my teaching activities, I enjoy playing in various chamber music groups, with which I regularly give concerts. It is important to me that, in addition to teaching, I remain artistically fit and actively play music myself.

Jazz-Rock-Pop Singing (Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media)

Britta is active as a singer in a wide variety of ensembles, from chamber music duos to big bands and orchestras.

Her lessons incorporate both her classical vocal training and her intensive involvement with popular vocal styles and concepts such as Estill Voice Training and Complete Vocal Technique.

She also integrates years of experience with bodywork such as resonance teaching into holistic and motivating lessons that encourage students to come into deep contact with their body, with the instrument "voice" and with their emotional expression by getting to know their voice with all its individual characteristics and learning a healthy breathing and singing technique.

The stylistic spectrum ranges from pop/rock and musicals to jazz and world music.

Britta is also a composer, arranger and writes lyrics and songs, so that songwriting and applied music theory can become part of the lessons on request.
